Championship

ROBERT GRIFFIN III, QB, BAYLOR

BRANDEN OLIVER, RB, BUFFALO

CHRIS POLK, RB, WASHINGTON

JUSTIN BLACKMON, WR, OKLAHOMA STATE

STEDMAN BAILEY, WR, WEST VIRGINIA

KAMAR JORDEN, WR, BOWLING GREEN

NICK HARWELL, WR, MIAMI OHIO

RYAN OTTEN, TE, SAN JOSE STATE

QUINN SHARP, K, OKLAHOMA STATE

LSU D

I won my second straight championship on the back of RG3, Polk, Blackmon, Bailey, Otten, Sharp, and the LSU D. This will be back to back league championships for me in two different leagues; and further proof that if you study long, study hard, you can put together stud teams that bring you championships.

Week 13 comparison: WV's Stedman Bailey vs Syracuse's Alec Lemon

Alec Lemon has put up HUGE numbers in the last two weeks; in those weeks combined Lemon had 19 catches for 336 yards and 3 touchdowns. In week 13 he goes up against Cincinnati whom which gives up the most passing yards in the Big East, and thus Lemon should have a solid week. One extra point though: Lemon has been inconsistent outside of the last two weeks putting up games like 23, 29, 32, 54, and 18 yards in the games prior. On the other hand, Stedman Bailey has been Mr. Consistency all season going for 100 yards plus in 7 out of 10 games. Bailey has 14 catches for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns in the last two weeks, and goes up against the #3 pass defense in the Big East, Pittsburgh, in week 13. So, Bailey has the tougher matchup this week, and that is why some other experts have Lemon MUCH higher in WR rankings this week than Bailey. But I'll take the guy who does his job week in and week out named Stedman.

Marqise Lee is a carbon copy of Robert Woods lately...

Statistically, Lee and Woods are almost twins the last couple of weeks. In that stretch Lee has 16 catches, 218 yards, and 3 touchdowns versus Woods has 18 catches, 219 yards, and 3 touchdowns. The difference is that most people don't own Lee in their college leagues because he is an emerging true freshman, versus EVERYONE owns the stud sophomore Woods. Go get Lee!!

Kenny Turner from New Mexico State?

Kenny Turner is best friends with Chris Johnson and Mike Sims-Walker from High School, and he is looking to be a fellow NFL player like his pals next year. In the meantime he must carry the New Mexico State Aggies on his back the rest of the year at running back. The last game against Georgia was just one of the examples of how he is burdened with most of the load offensively; Turner had team highs of 94 yards rushing and 127 yards receiving while scoring the Aggies' only 2 touchdowns. He is a great all around running back and should be in your lineup this week against Fresno State in college fantasy football.

CASE KEENUM!!! 9 Touchdowns in one game!! Who is this guy and what does he eat and drink?

Is this the peak performance for Case Keenum in his football career both college and pro? I think so. Keenum had 9 touchdowns, 534 yards passing, 32 yards rushing, and he got the victory for his team. One simple fact though, he was playing the lowly Rice University. Even still, he set the record for touchdown passes in one game; that's pretty impressive no matter who you're playing. This guy is now a serious contender for the Heismann Trophy with this performance and his team still unbeaten. Did I mention he scored 73 fantasy points last night alone. Sheesh!!!

Let me just tell you how good Stedman Bailey is...

Stedman Bailey is 5'10", 195 lbs, and a sophmore. With that in mind, he's pulled down 27 catches for 518 yards and 4 touchdowns in the last 4 games for West Virginia; and I didn't mention he has 4.3 40 time speed. That is all.

Ryan Otten is a M.O.N.S.T.E.R.

This hybrid tight end/oversized wide receiver is tearing up the field lately. San Jose State's 6'5", 230 lb, 21 year old boy has taken down an average of 6 catches for 91 yards in his last four games. He's on a bye this week, but for all of you in college leagues pick him up while he's hot, NOW. He's a STUD. BEAST. MONSTER.

Collin Klein's Stat line for this week...

So the kid from Loveland, Colorado... Collin Klein has 6 rushing touchdowns in the last two weeks for Kansas State. I have two questions for you: Why isn't he on your fantasy team and what will his stats be versus the in-state rival Kansas Jayhawks this week? My guess for his quarterback stats are: 160 yards passing, 2 passing TD's, 70 yards rushing, 2 rushing TD's. That would equate out to about 37 fantasy points. Let's revisit this post this weekend, shall we?

Sharp: The NCAA Uprights king

Quinn Sharp is a true BEAST kicking the football for Oklahoma State. He kicks, placekicks, and punts for the team all while leading the nation in points. I've seen certain high volume college fantasy websites not even mention him on their top 20 lists, when he should be at the top. He plays on possibly the most potent offense in the NCAA and thus gets PLENTY of extra points and field goal tries. If people want to ignore him that's their problem; I'll see him in the pros rivaling my CU Buffalo alum Mason Crosby.

Royce Pollard, WR from Hawaii: Can he finish the trifecta this week?

So Pollard's last two games have been 3 touchdown games in which he has 19 receptions for 361 yards; so he's averaged a little more than 180 yards and 9 catches a game. He's got a small task of taking on the San Jose State secondary this week which has given up 6 receiving touchdowns in its last two games; ironically fitting wouldn't you say? Bet on this guy having a big week and possibly hitting the trifecta of 3 touchdown games.

Christine Michael vs Eric Stephens

I've got both of these guys doing well this week, but which one will out-do the other? Texas Tech's Stephens has 258 yards and 4 touchdowns running the ball in his last two games while Texas A&M's Michael is coming off a game of 230 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. I'm going with Stephens because Michael is still sharing the load with previously blogged about running back Cyrus Gray at Texas A&M, and players tend to have a slightly down week after a huge game. Either way, I still believe in both as being solid choices to start this week at your running back slots.

Is Robert Griffin the best college QB this year?

This "Crazy Stupid Athlete" Robert Griffin is not only a running threat, but he is lighting up the Baylor sky with the football. In 3 games he has 14 touchdowns, zero interceptions, 962 passing yards and 157 yards on the ground. So let's see, those averages are almost 5 touchdowns, 320 passing yards, and 52 yards on the ground A GAME. WOW! Looking much better than Andrew Luck statistically at this point.

Tyler Shoemaker will be the best college receiver this week. Period.

As long as you have Boise State players in your league, Shoemaker is killing the red zone defenses with his route running. He has 5 touchdowns in his last two games!! He is facing a Nevada secondary this week that has given up 9 passing touchdowns in two games. I don't know how anyone can question that Shoemaker should lead all receivers this week in scoring based off those two quick fun facts. Sheesh... Get him in your WR slot this week! Remember, 5 touchdowns for Shoemaker and 9 touchdowns against Nevada in two games. DO IT!

Dwayne Allen, TE from Clemson. I vouch for him...

7 receptions, 80 yards, and a touchdown last week against Auburn. Look at him in the TE slot to replace your underproducing slacker.

Darrin Moore... Who's this beast at WR?

21 catches, 339 yards, and 4 touchdowns in the first two games! Sheesh... PICK HIM UP!

Check out Cyrus Gray from Texas A & M

With 4 touchdowns, 50 carries, and 233 yards in the last two games this guy should definitely be owned and started! No hesitation.. DO IT.

Joseph Fauria... Better option than Michael Agnew at TE this year? Hmm...

Michael Egnew came into this season as the predicted #1 tight end in college football based off of last years stats (83 catches and almost 700 yards receiving). But, a backup tight end at UCLA is coming to steal Egnew's crown. In the first two weeks of the season Joseph Fauria of UCLA has 7 catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns. He has looked impressive and is only going to get more involved with the offense of the Bruins as he emerges from the backup tight end role into a star. Egnew's role has been downgraded a bit with the rising relationship of T.J. Moe at wideout and Missouri QB James Franklin. In two games and with the facts at hand, I would take Fauria to have the better season that veteran Egnew. BOLD.

It shouldn't be any secret...

Paul Richardson from the University of Colorado Buffaloes has been the most dominating receiver in the first two weeks of NCAA Football. He has the mediocre CSU defense this week to deal with, and I figure he's due for another 100 yard day and a touchdown. EASY MONEY.
